Your Host
Hi, I’m Helen Hodgson, Author and founder of Transformational Goddess Retreats. I discovered Yoga Nidra four years ago during the global pandemic, and have been practicing daily ever since as a way to regulate my nervous system. In 2024 I completed the Daring to Rest Facilitator Training. I honor the visionaries of Yoga Nidra that lie in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan and across a rich history of oral teachings; I am able to share this practice today.
Yoga Nidra also known as yogic sleep, is a form of meditation, conscious relaxation, deep sleep and a gateway to increasing awareness, dissolving limiting beliefs, feeling free, liberated, rid of stress and anxiety that is achieved while lying down. Unlike some forms of yoga that require physical exertion, Yoga Nidra is accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability.
My personal journey of healing my weary matrilineal lineage through Yoga Nidra, has lead me to nurture a new era of rested women with inner strength and vitality.
